Remuneration
Base salary: USD 2,800.00, in addition to the other allowances and payments stipulated in the staff regulations of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Define the strategic orientations of the Department in the areas of economic studies and economic intelligence.
  • Monitor trends in international markets and within the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation region in order to anticipate opportunities and risks.
  • Develop economic monitoring and strategic intelligence systems (market monitoring, trade policies, country risks, etc.).
  • Prepare, coordinate, and supervise analyses (briefing notes, reports, studies, statistical data, etc.) across various sectors related to trade and investment within the OIC region and at the international level.
  • Lead economic studies and analysis projects, and ensure their follow-up, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Contribute to the development of partnerships with national and international institutions (economic organizations, research centers, etc.).
  • Contribute to the formulation of strategic recommendations on trade and investment for the relevant OIC institutions.
  • Participate in resource mobilization efforts (project financing, technical cooperation, etc.).

  • Proficiency in Business Intelligence and data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation systems.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent drafting and reporting abilities.
  • Advanced command of IT tools and digital technologies.

EDUCATION

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, International Trade, or Economic Management Sciences is required. A Master’s degree and/or PhD will be considered an asset.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

A minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in public administration or semi-public institutions in trade and investment sectors.

LANGUAGES

Proficiency in at least two of the three official OIC languages (Arabic, English, French). Priority will be given to candidates proficient in all three languages.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Must be a Muslim national of an OIC Member State.
  2. Must be in good health.
  3. Must be under 56 years of age.
